After taking the unheard of step of having a year off, to: 
               ''see what it was like to be dead'' 

people seemed to think that Manchester stand up Bury Bob, would have a hard time breaking back into the comedy circuit here on planet earth.

It seems nothing could be

further from the truth.

Well, I suppose the only way

really was up from there.

But death has really been good for him...He's much calmer and doesn't upset people anything like as much....yes all in all being dead is the best thing that ever happened to him.


He's on a full grease diet again, to get his weight back up to a healthy 15 stone and is doing as little exercise as possible so he 
can develop that well rounded look.

(Nervous cough) We're planning to do a video of him live this month too ....a fan club gathering ......hopefully some of his playpen pals will be there too and we can make a night of it.

More on that later but it should be a fun night and between my camcorder and Bob's phone we will catch the action in HD.

Uncle Joe Reveals the truth about living with the ex-dead Bob.

He's gone through a bit of a personality change since he's come back among us again....he keeps banging on about saving us from our sins and shit like that.

I don't know about you, but I don't want saving from my sins thank you very much. I quite l like my sins and there's a message in there if you care to look....my sin' ergo nobody else's bloody business.......(awkward silence ....sound of pin dropping.)

"Well it looks like our boy Bury Bob is going to be knocking them dead in  London again this weekend ...well Kent actually....it's still gonna be full of southerners so it doesn't make much difference does it?  He'll probably be fightin' a few of 'em anyway. Bob's got some new playmates and he's going to be rocking the joint. whatever that means ....he just told me to write that ...make him sound hip or something. Well if he wants to talk about hips , I've got a whole afternoon spare tomorrow and we can watch the video of my operation......(another awkward silence....sound of pin being pushed into eyeball.)

Sooooo...., if you are in Kent on Saturday night near Bromley Rugby Club I advise you to avoid anywhere that is showing a poster of BB and his cronies. 

If you go and find yourself becoming a fan then don't say you weren't warned of the danger.

Alternative comedy is coming back to life.

When I was young people judged how 'long in the tooth' they were getting, by measuring themselves against how young policemen looked.

These days you don't see many policemen on the beat so I've started using a different criteria....

stand up comedians.

I don't remember in the early days of alternative comedy anybody talking about their mother, other than in how she had been a suffocating influence in their lives.

The other night I was watching some guy...don't ask me his name they all look the same to me....and he was talking about how his mum was having trouble with understanding a computer....really radical I thought and switched off.

One of the few shining lights in the darkness is Lee Nelson who shows us how to work a crowd, be cheeky, get a couple of subliminal messages across and leave. A real pro who has obviously paid his dues in lots of different venues and appeals to all ages and races apparently.

Unfortunately, the rest of the comedy scene in the UK seems to be bereft of original talent.

Soon Manchester youtube funny man Bury Bob will be taking his internet comedy into the live comedy club environment. He has been working hard on the act trying to find an mood that is both original and approachable. Expect to see him out there in the Manchester comedy clubs in September 2011.
