PRESS RELEASE 'THIS BEAUTIFUL GAME' by Bury Bob New Single

Hello Radio-land

Just a short note to tell you about a new comedy talent that is beginning to gather quite a following on the web. He goes by the name of Bury Bob.

( burybob.com )

We have been working up here in the hills of Lancashire for the last year building a bevvy of characters and committing them to video....some people say he should be committed, but that's for you to decide. While doing so Bob and I discovered that we write pretty good songs together too.

The reason I am contacting you guys out there in radio-land is because we are going to be releasing his first single in the near future (hopefully around the first of April, a perfect day to release something by Bob) and would like to get some pre. release audience reaction and of course to promote this new face....well it looks slightly used actually....in the name of a good cause.

That cause is to raise a few bob (no pun intended) for local youth teams in the Bury area of Manchester which are run mostly by volunteers . These wonderful people give their time and often their money, freely to help encourage youngsters to play for the love of the game and keep those kids off street corners away from mischief. Perhaps you could get something going locally where you are. We would be happy to give you permission to use the song as an anthem, just let us know so we can send you the relevant copyright release.

We are also in talks with The Princes Trust in Burnley with a view to to using one of Bob's characters in their bid to make that town into a shining example of urban redevelopment.

The single is called “This beautiful Game” and is a very interesting mix of various styles with a very catchy hook. The song is a light hearted look at the corporisation of football and how it has changed from being 'the peoples game' to the preserve of those who have money to burn.

We would like your listeners to contact us with their comments and if they register and donate we'll put them on our treat list

The links above will take you to the video page on the website. If you require a CD copy then contact me with your mailing details at thisbeautifulgame@burybob.com and I'll mail you a copy.

I hope that you can help us in this project, as I believe it is a worthy cause to help youngsters in both our inner cities and even in our rural areas to get active and occupied.

Thanks

Ian Jameson (nee Uncle Joe Bloggs) per Bury Bob
